He has been a Florida Licensed Professional Psychologist since 1989. Dr. Reed’s vision for excellence in Christian counseling led him to establish Life Connections Counseling Center in October 1993. His founding principle was a belief that Christian counselors and psychologists should do good to all, but that they should especially aid Christian churches in their work to form mature and healthy people who model the character of Jesus Christ. As of January 1, 2016, Dr. Reed became Director Emeritus, and he retired in 2019. In his spare time Dr. Reed reads, hunts, fishes, and plays golf.

An-Chi Liu

An-Chi Liu

Ruth House Manager

My name is An-Chi and I’m “that international student” others recognize in class and on campus. I was born and raised in Taiwan and came to the University of South Florida in Tampa for a Master’s in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling in 2016. Coming from a collective culture, I wasn’t prepared for the conflict and contradicting values that exist between the East and West. Compass has provided me with a safe space and support to explore and grow. It came to me how important it is to have such community and support no matter which life stage you are at. With my experience working with trauma and emotional distress and further training in neuroscience, my passion is to help each individual discover their own value and uniqueness created by God.
